Challenge: YOHA Group, a prominent Ethiopian holding company with a diverse portfolio, lacked a unified brand identity and digital presence. This inconsistency created challenges in brand recognition, hampered communication with target audiences across industries, and limited the potential of each sub-brand. Additionally, YOHA Group aspired to expand its reach beyond Ethiopia, necessitating a global brand strategy.​​​​​​​
Solution: I led a comprehensive brand transformation initiative to establish a strong foundation for YOHA Group's global expansion:
Market Research & Strategic Planning: Conducted in-depth market research to define YOHA Group's core values, target audiences, and unique selling propositions (USPs) for each industry segment. This analysis informed the development of a unified brand strategy, ensuring a consistent messaging framework and brand voice across all sub-brands. This approach facilitated seamless future international expansion.
Cohesive Brand Identity & Scalable Design System: Translate the brand strategy into a visually compelling and scalable design system. This system encompassed a redesigned logo, a curated color palette, a comprehensive typography guide, and detailed brand guidelines. This ensures a consistent and recognizable brand experience across all touchpoints, from websites and marketing materials to international markets.
User-Centric Sub-Brand Websites & Targeted Digital Marketing: Lead the design and development of user-centric websites for each sub-brand (e.g., YOHA Pharmaceuticals, Flirt Lounge) tailored to their specific target audiences and offerings. I also crafted and implemented data-driven digital marketing strategies (social media, content marketing, SEO) with a focus on driving brand awareness, user engagement, and website traffic. These strategies were future-proofed to accommodate potential international expansion efforts.
